Maybe your emotions sweep you off your feet— but not always in a good way. You use substances, food, or other habits to try and escape these feelings, but ultimately the underlying causes go unaddressed. There’s nothing wrong with having big emotions, but what would life look like if you learned how to ride these waves instead of feeling like you’re drowning? Although change can feel impossible, I’m here to tell you it’s not.

“Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.” Let’s work together to reclaim your power and take back control today.

My approach:

I strive to help you understand then accept all the different aspects of yourself, even those you might find scary or shameful. After all, we are all just trying to make sense of a world that is at times filled with pain and uncertainty. Appreciating your different parts helps with taking charge to make decisions that truly align with the values you hold and the life you want to live.

I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is essential for healing, so it’s important that we both show up authentically for sessions. You can rest assured that I won’t be a “blank slate” when we meet. I feel that therapy is a two-way street, where you are free to ask questions, give feedback, and challenge me at times. I am not here to tell you what to do or how to feel, but to journey alongside you as you learn more about who you are and how you came to be. Then we can figure out how to bridge the gap between your real life and ideal life. “Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.” Take control back in your life and email or call to schedule a consultation with me.
