Are you looking to strengthen and improve your relationships? I believe that the quality of our relationships directly impacts the quality of our lives. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients increase their awareness of themselves and their relationships while providing skills to help them improve areas of their life. Whether you are looking to learn coping skills, work on healthy communication, identify negative behavior patterns within yourself or a relationship, or just need a safe place and someone to talk to, I work with you to help you achieve your goals. I am an LGBTQ+-affirming therapist and I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. My clinical experience includes, but is not limited to, working with issues of anxiety and depression; relationship struggles; life transitions; pre-marital stress; divorce and discernment; infidelity and sexual dysfunction. I believe that people are able to make positive and effective changes in their own lives. Sometimes in order to make these changes it is helpful to work through and process our past to gain a better understanding of ourselves. If you are looking to reconnect with yourself and those around you, let me help you along the way.
Do you ever find yourself saying "It is not supposed to be this way"? At times we have all felt lost in life, or found ourselves in a place we do not wish to be. Whether it be at the hands of trauma, loss of self-esteem, familial discord, or failed relationships, sometimes we all need some guidance getting back to our best version of ourselves. I utilize Somatic and Experiential Theory based techniques to create a holistic approach to working on treatment goals. I have experience working with couples, individuals, and families with an emphasis on communication, rebuilding trust, intimacy, anxiety, depression, trauma, and body-image/self esteem concerns. I take a compassionate, client centered approach to therapy. I use my warmth to help create a safe place where the most vulnerable parts of yourself feel welcomed into the therapy room. My focus is on helping you get back in touch with your inner self and ensuring your life is one that aligns with your inner most hopes and dreams.

I have a passion for working with clients from many diverse backgrounds. I grew up in a small town where mental health awareness was not always present and children, like myself, who were going through their own unique and individual challenges did not always have support or an outlet for expressing their emotions. I aim to work with clients who are searching for this same type of support environment and positive outcomes through making plans for their growth. This is in connection with using research-based mental/emotional health strategies to achieve goals and create authentic and personal changes in their lives. I have received my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at NC State University and my LCMHCA counseling license in NC. I am working under the supervision of Ashley Bagwell, LCMHC, of LifeStance Health Inc. of Mooresville, NC to achieve my full license. I have mainly worked with youth, LGBTQ+, and anxiety clients in my experience thus far. I have lived in the Charlotte, NC area for the last 10 years and I am also a middle school ESL teacher currently as well. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UNC-Charlotte in 2014 and have worked with families and children for many years in my career. I love traveling, music, Spanish culture, and spending time with loved ones.
